I have spent so much money on DNA testing to help me and all people who can benefit from it. The Big Y 700 costed me hundreds of dollars. The Y SNP R-FTA2669 proves more than any other DNA test I've done that the biogical father of Andrew Jackson McIntosh was George Byrd. My Y match list is full of "Byrd" men who have Y tested. There are different "Byrds" who don't relate. But, the Byrds that share a paternal SNP with me go back to the Byrds of Grayson County, Virginia. Byrds in this line are NOT paternal descendants of John Byrd and Rebecca Sutton of Old Albemarle and Chowan nor the Byrds of Westover Virginia like William Evelyn Byrd the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. The Byrd line of Col. George William Byrd from Virginia who settlef in Jacks Creek does belong in the same paternal line as the "Byrds of Grayson Virginia". They are their own unique set of Byrds. Thats all we know for now. I know there are people who don't believe it or accept it. But, the truth is that Andrew Jackson McIntosh is NOT descended or related to Daniel McIntosh or Hector McIntosh. He's not even remotely related to them. He only carried a last name of his mother who had married Daniel McIntosh. I love genealogy. I have spent so much time and money trying to prove what really is and isn't in this family. I want others to also benefit as well but I have had someone or some people attaching my Y DNA to Daniel McIntosh and Hector. That is not correct. Andrew Jackson McIntosh, my 4th great grandfather, was (biologically/by blood) a " Byrd". He IS the son of George Washington Byrd and Rachel Morrace McIntosh and Grandson of Col. George William Byrd and Annie Hutson. Others are welcome to use any information I have including DNA data I've shared but, whoever is connecting my info with the wrong person is misleading others and using my DNA for the wrong person.
