There was a Samson BARBER who signed a petition in 1887 requesting Queen Victoria to grant land to the community - along with John COOPER, Aaron ATKINSON and William COOPER

Kitty Errin Atkinson - Cooper timeline looks a bit more realistic - separate relationships rather than concurrent relationships

She appears to have been married / had a relationship with an ATKINSON sometime before 1851 and then before 1860 with James COOPER

James John Oldbury Atkinson married Sarah HORTON in 1869
James Atkinson died in 1896
There isn't currently any evidence to determine which of these (if either) were the ATKINSON she had children with. The only reference to her partner is Jno ATKINSON which would give the impression of John or Johnathan rather than James.
