Is there evidence that this wife of R' Yitzchak Eizek Schick is related to the Poppers from Bohemia?

I had the same question. In Jacobi, I found that his wife is recorded as Elke, the daughter of Zecharya Joss or Jass, from the famous Kuh family.

I will put the documentation in the media section.

thank you

Now, Elkele Kuh Elkele Kuh who Jacobi says was married to R' Yitzchak eizik schick, was also married to her Uncle Ahron Kuh, her mother's Slava's brother. So she was married twice.

In The Zaida's sefer - MiMoshe ad Moshe, Rav Shlomo Tzvi Schuck writes that R' Yitzchak eizik Schick's brother-in-law was Rav Chaim Popper (Joachim Edler chaim von Popper). Geni may have decided accordingly that Rav Schick was married to his sister, an unknown Popper daughter. However, he could've been married to Elkele Kuh, for her sister Reizel Reizel von Popper was married to Joachim Edler chaim von Popper - in accordance with Rav Schuck's statement that his great great grandfather was the brother-in-law of Popper.

Does that make sense?

Thank you

Joachim Edler von Popper was married to Reitzel Joss daughter of Zacharia Joss and
Slova Joss. Elkele Kuh nee Joss was sister of Reitzel and married to Ahron Michael Kuh also according to Samuel Krauss. Samuel Kraus in his book about Joachim Edler von Popper writes that there was no unknown sister of Joachim Edler von Poppeer married to Chajim Hennoch Schick.

Thank you for that. Again, Jacobi writes that Elke, the daughter of Joss, was married to Y.Schick. He also states that she was married to Kuh. Two marriages is fine.

I don't read Germen and do not see the image 16 you speak of. Can you point me please to where Krauss says that there was no unknown sister? Thank you so much

In Krauss book page 9 -10 (image 16-17) you could read that Chaim Popper had two sisters Cheile married Löbl Duschenes and Judith married Israel Pink. Kraus writes that there was a third sister of Chaim Popper Freudl. But Krauss does not think she was married to Schick.

You writes "However, he could've been married to Elkele Kuh, for her sister Reizel Reizel von Popper was married to Joachim Edler chaim von Popper - in accordance with Rav Schuck's statement that his great great grandfather was the brother-in-law of Popper."
I think you are right.

I think t
