This Johann is the same person as [John Phillip Wisman , but record inconsistencies show that something is wrong with one of the records (or with both).

----
Numerous genealogies at family search such as this one [https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:S5RN-H1K] say Johann Philip is the child of Abraham Wiseman and Susannah Hite . The linked one also says that his wife is Anna Maria Catherina Schumaker. The difficulty with all of these is that Abraham is only 5 years older than Johann Philip and Susannah is possibly 2 years younger. Either the parents are wrong or the birth dates are wrong. In addition, it seems unlikely that Johann was born in Germany but both parents and children were in the United States. It could be that Johann Philip is misidentified, although the German name suggests not.

The age range between grandparents and grandchildren don't appear to match as the supposed grandmother Susannah Hite would possibly be 27 when George Wiseman's first child was born, which means that both she and George would have had to have children in their early teens. It is possible that the error is with Abraham Wiseman's and Susannah Hite's birth dates. Their parents could have had children at least a decade earlier for Susannah and two decades earlier for George.

If Johann Philip was really born in Darmstadt Germany, a more likely parentage is found at [https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NCCY-V76] . His name would be Johann Phillipp. It is also possible that the German birth is speculation. Johann Phillipp married Anna Elisabetha Merck in 1741. There is no obvious death record in Germany or the US and there is no immigration record.
--------------------
Johan Philip 'Wisman/Wissman' Whisman came to America at the age of 22 from Germany via Holland to Pennsylvania in September 1737 as a passenger of the 'St Andrew Galley'. He died around 1778 in Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia. St. Andrew's Galley left Rotterdam with 449 other passengers. He may have come from Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hessen, GERMANY.
