I do not believe Nancy Catherine Burns Holland is the daughter not William M and Nancy Helton Burns. I am a descendant of Nancy C. Burns Holland. Nancy was born in South Carolina around 1834. According to census records Nancy's parents were also born in SC. Nancy died in 1886 in Roane County, WV. Her husband William Holland provided information for her death record that Nancy was 52 years old and born in South Carolina. William states Emily Burns was the name for Nancy's mother. Based on my DNA matches I think Nancy was born around or in Greenville County, SC. I have not found Nancy's parents but feel I am getting close
William Madison Burns and his wife Nancy Helton Burns lived most of their adult lives in Clay County, Kentucky. There children were also born in Clay County. They had a daughter named Nancy but I do not think this Nancy is the one that married William Holland
I would appreciate any help in finding Nancy's parents.
