Martha Cordelia Mansell (Elswick) - Maiden Name

I'm seeing the info about Elvis' Jewish heritage on many sites now. The Overview on this Martha's profile says that has been disproven, but other sites are showing convincing information that it's true;

gives information about Elvis having a Star of David put on his mother's gravestone and shows a photo of it as proof.

Some of the sites share info about Elvis' introducing his rabbi to friends and about his attending Jewish ceremonies

and there being a Jewish menorah among Elvis' possessions on display in his museum in Mississippi

So I'd say it's far from 'unproven'

More sites than not seem to have her as Martha Sue (Tackett) Mansell than Martha Cordelia (Tackett) Mansell. Some just have Martha. I haven't seen anywhere else showing the Elswick surname at all. I'm thinking two families have gotten their info mixed together.

This also indicates she's connected to the wrong parents. Her father Abner is possibly confused with another Abner Mansell, as her father wasn't born in Kentucky and didn't die in Alabama. He was born in the Carolinas and died in Mississippi, where she was born.

I'm reading and posting as I find info, trying to get them connected correctly in my tree, as we're multi-related to Elvis and I want to make sure I have the lines correct. The info I've found on her father so far is:

Anyway, if you follow the geography along with everything else, the parents attached to Martha here have no geographical connection to Mississippi. In contrast, the Abner and Nancy Burdine both died in MIssisippi where Martha was born.
