What should be the protocol for Telugu names? Considering 2 major issues.
1. Traditionally, in Telugu the surname precedes the given name. However, this is okay since most modern Telugus use Anglic formatting.
2. It can be hard to tell if a name is official or a respectful version. I.E. two famous Telugu brothers became known as Madanna and Akkanna to the point that their real names have been forgotten and we can only guess what they really were. -anna is an endearative in Telugu that signals respect, it literally means 'elder brother'. On the other hand, many people of lesser castes or other less known persons were treated with the suffix -ḍu, which is the male nominative suffix. Should the more common names be used? Or should we use assumptions of what the names could be?
