Helllo,
I have looked up the way that Genealogists write a married woman's name. And it is:
Alison (Gibson) Johnston. Her maiden name is always in () followed by her married name.
If multipule husbands It would be Alison (Gibson) Johnston/whatever.
Sincerely, Sue May

Hi Sue,

There is no agreed upon standard for how to present names on Geni let alone a global rule followed by all genealogists.

To control (for the most part) how you see names displayed on Geni please refer to this informative HELP article:

https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229703607-How-do-I-customiz...

PS please don't put separate names together in a single data field separated by the "/", if a woman had multiple husbands and was known by various different names during her life please put those additional surnames in the ALSO KNOWN AS field separated by commas.
