Hello O'Rourke family historians,

Can anyone help?

According to a her profile on FamilySearch

"She applied, to the Governor, for permission to marry David Rourke. This was denied because he was already married."

Does anyone have a copy of this document? It would be interesting to view as David Rourke "Morley" was never married. Life long Bachelor.

Baptism Records. The actual records themselves. Not the BDM registry listing. I ask because I have come across Trees on Ancestry that have David married to another woman; his brother John marrying multiple times and having multiple children; all based on the registry listings and not actual Parish Records.

In 1830 Elizabeth applied to marry an ex convict Charles Boyle - it was refused because she was married

Noted underneath Elizabeth’s name; ” On arrival reported herself as married”

1830 - Applied again on the 2 Aug 1830. and was Refused
