Some recently published work indicates that two Davidic lineage claims on the R1a-Z2123 tree, the Gens Dayanica of Aleppo and the Maharal of Prague lines, share their sub-tree with the first Magyar (Hungarian) kings, raising some interesting possibilities: most likely the Davidic contenders and the Magyar royal line descended from the same pre-Hebraic, circa 2500 BCE common ancestor in the North Zagros Mountains (this holds true no matter which of these two Davidic claims, if any, proves correct), or less likely but still possible, the Magyar line descended directly from the Davidic line, perhaps via the Khazar Khanate (the direct descent alternative could hold true only if the Maharal of Prague claim proves to be the correct one).
