It looks to me like PVT John Harmon and Rev. John Linkin Harmon are the same man, unless data from one is being transposed onto someone else. There doesn't seem to be any Polly Pratt profiles on Geni that could be a spouse of Mariah Barbara Messimer 5GGM, unverified

You mention noting information in an overview but which profile is it that you noted it in as Jacob's profile only has a transcription of his will?

You also mentioned your GGGF, Jacob Luther Harmon but he's born nearly 100 years later so I don't understand the relevance to Jacob Harmon, Sr.

Side note: Where people had nicknames, eg. Mary Polly" Ann Harmon , it is against Geni policy to place that name in "" within the name fields. It belong in the Also Known As field and can also be made more prominent by using the Display Name field.

This is because the software does not consider Mary "Polly" as two names, the software will literally look for matches to a woman named Mary Polly and will ignore women named Mary Harmon or Polly Harmon. This will negate most/all features of the software and reduce both your and other users experiences.

Despite the odd display name this profile, Capt Peter Harmon 4GGU, Shared Match Cluster, connection me, Maurice, Wayne, Doug is a man named Peter Harmon who is the only son shown on Geni for Rev. John Linkin Harmon and Mariah Barbara Messimer 5GGM, unverified and died 23 August 1870 in Greene, Tennessee

PVT John Harmon and Anna Harmon have a son on Geni named Peter L. Harmon who died 13 August 1870 in Greene County, TN.

I have also found Peter Singer Harmon who died 23 August 1870 in Greeneville, Greene County, TN and has a wife who's name matches the wife of Capt Peter Harmon 4GGU, Shared Match Cluster, connection me, Maurice, Wayne, Doug

It looks to me like all three men represent the same Peter.
The issue with merging them will be that the mothers of PVT John Harmon?through=6000000002196377078 and Rev. John Linkin Harmon?through=6000000183863138822 do not match.
