I have no known relation and very little knowledge about Cherokee and Native Americans, but due to cooperation I get some of these in my matches.
The Geni team have made a merge here, that may be right, but a lot of the names look wrong to me. I really hope someone with more knowledge can look into it. The curator, Pam Wilson, is not available.

Thank you. I undid the merge.

Gideon Morris was a white man who had a Cherokee wife named Rebecca. A grandchild who filed an Eastern Cherokee application (#5798) said his great-grandmother was named Ka-te-he. Another application gave Rebecca’s Cherokee name as Nakie. She was not a daughter of Yonaguska. Other than that there is ZERO information to support any parents. She does not appear by name in any records until 1851, listed as Rebecca Morris. The family emigrated to Indian Territory in 1867. None of her children and only a couple of grandchildren lived long enough to file a Dawes or Eastern Cherokee application with more family information.

No known siblings, her children were (from the Siler Roll)
John Calhoun Morris 35
Drury Maxwell Morris 23 s mixed
Eveline Morris 19 d mixed
Gideon Morris (Jr) 17 s mixed
Caroline Morris 14 d mixed
James Morris 2 s mixed (probably a grandson, listed as a "ward" by Siler

The 1835 census says there were 8 children, so some may have died by 1851.

This is not the first time I have seen similar issues, and I believe there is a lot of creativity with the native names and relations.
