Hello,
I'm so glad to see others have joined this project!
O.K. it's time to ask HOW FAR UP YOUR TREES can you go to see your direct Maternal line's origin?
Let's go!
Bon Voyage,

Chris Harris

Cheers Chris. For clarification, are you asking how far back in our own tree we are able to go with diect mothers of mothers of mothers and so on? My great-great-great grandmother is Sarah (Evans) Rees (about 1813) born in Carmarthenshire, Wales to John and possibly a Cecilia Evans. Sarah married Daniel Rees in Merthry Tydfil. I believe Sarah may have had a sister Phebe.

Is that how this works? Id love to connect with othes who share maternal ancestors. Cheers!

Yes Daniel,
That is exactly what I am proposing.
We would all relate to each other somewhere !

Hi All!,
Maria Jesus de Martinez Vilches was born on January 8, 1766, in Zacapa, Zacapa, Guatemala. She had one daughter with Mateo Jose de la Peña y Buenafe in 1790. Confirmed "H" haplogroup.

Thanks Christina. How far have you been able to trace your maternal line? Cheers

That Is great Conrado! And Daniel.
As to my line, thanks to Geni and My Heritage, I can go to Beatriz de Vera who was born circa 1510 in Cordoba, Spain. However for some reason the DNA marker H6A1A goes only to Francisca de Astua y Chavez de Alfaro, b. circa 1662 in Costa Rica. But her mother and so on go to Beatriz.
I hit a brick wall with Beatriz so if there is anybody who can help me research, I would appreciate it.
