Ancestry trees I'm seeing in his Hints don't show any parents for him and have this info:

So this matches the info in his profile about being born in Ireland, and has his Native daughter Catherine connected to him.

I'm even more inclined to think two George Croghans have maybe gotten mixed up. ?

According to Ancestry, the Col. George Croghan who was the son of Lucy (Clark) Croghan has this info:

DEATH 8 JANUARY 1849 • New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA

which makes a lot more sense for his dates and age at the time of his death.

So, he appears to be a totally different man than the indian trader who married a Native American wife, etc.

These are the two men whose dates and other info has gotten mingled into this one profile as the same man, which they clearly weren't.
