I received an email from Kathleen Pattangall

Hi, I saw your information on Cady Sarvis, and also noted that Geni has the information on her from the Horry County Independent Review. I have spent the last few years finding out as much as I could about Jabez Hatch, who is listed in her family Bible. I have verified that it is my 4th GGF Jabez Hatch who is the Land Plat Grantee, and me, my brother, cousin, and niece have DNA matches to Paul Hatch, who is listed in the Bible, and is his son by Martha.

If you read the Bible entry, it pinpoints Jabez's birth date, and that matches my Jabez. We are the descendants of his first son, Jabez. I am also writing this same message to your co-contributer, Mr Monroe.

I spent 40 years doing research on my family from all original sources, because I was born and raised in my ancestral state and county, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Jabez was my brick wall until 2019. If you would like to contact me, I am Kathleen Pattangall, daughter of Edwin Pattangall and Dolores HATCH.

In many trees, Jabez Hatch is seen as the father of Cady. There are references to him as being in Horry County after the Revolutionary War. More research is needed, but this does shed some light on reopening the case for Jabez as Cady's father. I will see what I can come up with from some records.

In 1801, Jabez Hatch is listed on a petition to the General Assembly with notable men from Horry District that Kingston, now Coway be renamed Hugerborough.

If Jabez is the father of Cady Hatch, he was in good company as her husband John Sarvis and son in law Arthur Alford are also signatories.

I still think it is unclear. Cady whomever is likely unknown given the dates of the Hatches being in SC.
