Siser's written research is a good beginning. There are other researchers who have published accounts of this Yoakum/Yokum family as the most intelligent research done by Dr. Oscar Doane Lambert at the University of Virginia and the West Virginia University. Both Universities have Genealogical books published by very well known authors.
