Hi Barbara,
You have a wonderful large family tree.
On first glance my hypothesis is that there is no connection between our two Feig families.
On the other hand, if it is possibly to connect your Feig family to the larger "world tree" one guess is that your ancestors are connected to this very large Feig family in Saxony, possiblythrough your 7th great grandfather Adam.
I do not believe we are related (and you are welcome to disprove this theory.) My 3rd great grandfather Elias von Rust (who is not the same person as your potential 8th great grandfather Elias von Annaberg) received his last name when he was issued a "Familianten" passport, giving him permission as aJew to reside and trade in the realm of Siroke Trebčičè in about 1780. In the first documents he is actually listed as Feik.
It is an interesting coincidence that your ancestors were in this exact region at the same time (Mašťov) but unless you have documentaion of Jewish heritage I believe that our families were not related. Perhaps they knew each other. Perhaps my ancestor chose his last name based on the fact that your ancestors were peopleof good standing and therefore it was in his interest that Gentiles in the community with whom he was doing business should have positive associations with his name.
There is a reason why your Feigs might be Jewish but I will save this for later.
Please try and see if your Adam came from Annaberg near Chemnitz.
Habe a great weekend.
Hi Jonathan, thanks for the reply. How can I combine my family tree Feig with the world family tree. I'm trying to get more data through Eva Feig. Only the register of over 370 digital sheets, where the font is sometimes difficult to read. Therefore, this will take some time. In any case, I would be happy if we were related. This is just my father's line. Unfortunately, I do not yet know how to create another family tree, in this case, my Mother can land here. Greetings Barbara Claudia
