Obituary of James Henry Adams

IN THE CARE OF
Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery
James Henry Adams, 86, of Pasadena, Texas, died peacefully in his sleep on September 7, 2022.
Jim was born in Carmel, Indiana, on Nov. 2, 1935.
He received his Master of Science in Engineering degree from Purdue University in 1966. He moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1966.
He married Peg Balfanz in 1993, and they moved from Phoenix, Arizona, to Pasadena, Texas, in 2019.
He retired from Honeywell in 1998 after over 40 years as a professional engineer, primarily in propulsion engines and APUs, mainly for AlliedSignal Engines.
He and Peg enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Europe and especially enjoyed river cruises in Europe.
Jim was a very active volunteer for Cursillo Movement, an inter-faith organization known as VICAP and later Duet, and as a Eucharistic minister for his Episcopal church. He loved to read, primarily theology, and would describe himself as a life-long learner.
Peg survives him as well as his daughter Dawn Wheeler (Joe), son James C. (Cathy), stepsons John Balfanz and Steven Balfanz,
Grandchildren Jessica Wheeler, Josiah Wheeler, Kelli Adams Lorella and Kaitlyn Adams Gregg.
8 Great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Ernest “Pete” and Ida Hazen Adams, sister Sharon Adams Williams and brother Michael Adams.
A graveside service will be held at a later date with a reception following at Forest Park East, 21620 Gulf Fwy., Webster, TX 77598.

Sorry for your loss James, I've alerted Geni management of your father's passing and they will revert management of his profile to you (tho probably not until early/mid next week), at which point you will be able to update it and add details as you feel appropriate.

Thank you. I am not very good on the computer and had no idea why I could not put it in since I was the manager when I started my tree.

No problem at all.
