I am contacting you about this profile: Joachym Hops

He was my 3rd Great Grandfather and married to my 3rd Great Grandmother.

and this one: Pinkus Hops (Pinkus Hops was the father of my great grandfather,
Berek Hersz Hops - also known as Dov Tzvi)

There seems to be errors on their profiles on the Geni world tree - but if you check JRI-Poland, you will see that:

HOPS Pinkus was born 5 Oct 1842 to
father Joachym HOPS (26)
mother Gnendla TROPAUER (24)

I did write to Moshe Laudon a few days ago.

1. To find the correct lineage in Jewish families one has to investigate more than one record.
2. In Jewish records given names Jochym and Chaim are interchangeable - this may lead to confusion.
3. Bedzin 1848 D 97 shows that Jochym left behind wife Rajzla.
4. Bedzin 1882 D 62 shows that Genendla HOPS née TROPAUER left behind husband Szyja Chaim.
