John Stodder (d 1661) is seen as son of George Anthony Stodder & Margaret Stodder without supporting evidence. So, disconnected.
No record of birth, marriage, child birth, or death of a wife of John Stodder Sr named Hannah or Anna has been found. References to a supposed wife named Hannah may have been confused with John Stodder Sr.'s daughter Hannah, who married Gershom Wheelocke, of whom there is no doubt. Also, references to John Stodder "of Hull" probably refer to the settlement of Hull, Massachusetts which is adjacent to Hingham, Massachusetts, rather than Hull in England.
Hannah, wife of John Sr., is not mentioned in John Sr.'s will, nor is any other wife. Hannah, wife of John Sr. is probably a nickname for Tabitha. John Jr., son of John and Tabitha, married Hannah Bryant, and they had a daughter Hannah Stodder/ Stoddard as well as as a daughter Tabitha Stoddard and a son named John Stoddard (born 1668).
John Sr. was the first to settle in America, granted property in Bare Cove (now Hingham) Massachusetts in 1638. He emigrated with wife and children.
So, renamed the wife profile as Tabitha ‘Hannah/Anna’ Stodder which we have records for.
The name Hannah or Anna seems to come from the Stoddard book.
I don’t know why she is seen as “Hannah Smith,” daughter of Daniel Smith & Elizabeth Nason So far I can’t find any records or genealogy on Philip Smith.
There is a record for Elizabeth Nason - and it matches as the wife of John Nason
So I will disconnect Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Rogers, of Stratford-upon-Avon & Susanna Rogers from Philip Smith, and merge profiles.
Feel free to argue.
