His profile notes state that his parents are unknown, so what is the documentation for the attached parents?
The Wikipeida listing for him says "certainly a cousin of Siegfried I" but doesn't state that they were first cousins as stated in the profile notes. Even with being cousins, it states the parents of neither are known.
In fact, the Wikipedia for Siegfried statess:
He originally came from Rheinfranken, where he was born at Sponheim Castle . His direct ancestors can no longer be determined due to a lack of sources. [1] However, his family relationships with the Zeisolf-Wolframen , the Counts in Königssondergau and the remaining branch of the Spanheimer in the Rhineland can be proven. [2] Siegfried also had an unexplained cousin relationship with Count Stefan von Spanheim , who can be traced back to the middle of the 11th century
wherein it states his kinship to Stefan von Spanheim is unexplained.
