I have noted on several occasions that I can't find proof of Andrew Johnson Floyd and Ann Floyd as a couple and parents of the Floyd Boys of Horry County, SC. While nothing exists on Andrew, thee is some info on Ann:

Ann may be Anna as there was a practice of naming grandchildren for grandmothers. Known daughter of Frederick Hardee Floyd was Anna Jane Mincey and another "Anna Jane Floyd" of approximate age Anna Jane Kirton has shown up proven by death certificates of her son. Anna Jane Kirton is most likely the daughter of Moses Floyd or Austin Floyd, as both had "unknown daughters." of that approximate age. My bet is Moses due to the proximity of the Floyd family to the Kirton family, but that is all speculation.

So what do we know about the Floyd Boys:
Austin Floyd (1755-c.1845)
Moses Floyd (c. 1755 - c.1808)
James Rowland Floyd I (c. 1755-1828) (Never used a middle name, but his son used the "Roland" middle name.)
Francis Floyd (1756-1804)
Samuel Floyd (1767-1820)
Frederick Hardee Floyd (c.1769-before 1820) (Never used a middle name, but it helps keep them straight so it is here.)
Thomas Floyd (c.1770 - ?)
There were probably at least 2 "Floyd Girls". It has been difficult tieing them together, but Sarah "Prudence" (Floyd) Reaves and an unknown Floyd AKA Catherine are likely sisters to the brothers.

Now here is where local information and knowledge takes place - a review of the 1790 census the following names are listed as heads of households:
Samuel Floyd Jr. 1-0-2
James Floyd 1-2-3
Francis Floyd 1-4-3
Samuel Floyd 2-0-2
Thomas Floyd 1-2-4
Moses Floyd 2-2-3
The numbering corresponds to
Column 1 - Free white males over 16 years of age including heads of families
Column 2 - Free white males under 16 years of age
Column 3 - Free white femailes including heads of families

Of the Floyd men listed in the census of 1790, "Samuel Floyd" would be too young to have had a Samuel Jr. who was head of household. Frederick does not appear until the 1800 census so may be the other white male living in the household of Samuel Sr. As there were two women in that household, one may be the wife of Samuel Sr and the other the wife of Frederick or a sister. Frederick's children did not seem to have a birthdate before c. 1790.
Census is listed here https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9YBZ-CF4 under Prince George Parish.

It seems clear that Samuel Floyd, Sr. was living in 1790 and that given the dates and names of the others, that they would be his children. I just do not believe that there is such a person as Andrew Johnson Floyd who married Ann Rowland. Samuel may have married Ann Rowland for she did exist and live on Drowning Creek, which as we all know growing up is the Pee Dee River. They all lived where the Pee Dee met the Lumber River.
If anybody has anything but some trees on other platforms that say Andrew exists without any sources, please come forth.
