John Goldfinch married Anne (surname unknown) about 1805.
No suitable marriage entry has been found.
According to age given on burial entry at Hoath Anne was born c1779.

Where is the proof that her surname was Diamond or Manwaring?

Hi, I have a .pdf that details the whole family tree of the Goldfinch family. I can send it to you by email.

Thanks for your response.
I've been working on my Goldfinch tree for 50 years along with a number of other Goldfinch descendants.
I have found no proof whatsoever of the surname of Anne.
I've seen the Fadedgenes website before and most of the info is correct.
However there is no marriage date or place for the wedding of John Goldfinch & Anne Diamond (Manwaring).

So where does the info come from that it was this Anne that John Goldfinch married?
Is there some other document like a Will that confirms this info?
Where does the Diamond surname fit into the picture.
Is she supposed to have married a Diamond and then married John Goldfinch?

I've done a bit of research on the Manwaring family hoping to find this Anne.
Richard Manwaring & Mary Fuggle who married 1790 Brenchley are said by some to be her parents.
They had a daughter named Anne bapt. June 24 1799 Brenchley.
That is not the Ann supposed to be born c1779.

Many years ago I had a theory that Anne's surname might be Mannering as that surname was used as a middle name by a family member.
However I've never been able to find any proof that it was her surname.
Perhaps others have picked up on this theory but instead of Mannering they found a Manwaring family.
