Hello, I have seen Karin’s husband shown as an Olof Orjansson b1570 in Jamtland Sweden and also having a daughter named Maria b. approximately 1620. Is this the same Maria or perhaps someone different?

That Maria is Maria Olofsdotter and she is my 8th great grandmother and Karin Sjulsdotter is my 9th great grandmother so it is a bit of mystery around this. I have no data of Marias mother.

Now I have found a connection between Karin (b. 1591) and Maria (b. 1620). What I can see is Maria a daughter of Karin Sjulsdotter and Olof Örjansson. So it is the same Maria.

So was Karin Sjulsdotter married twice? Can the profile be updated to show Maria and Olof Orjansson?

I added Karin as a mother of Maria Olofsdotter, it will need to be merged with the duplicate profile of Karin Sjulsdotter that is already there however.

There is no credible source for name of the wife of Olof Örjansson.

Thanks for the help Bo, now I’m actually questioning a descendant and whether her parents are correct. Malin Eliasdotter, a granddaughter of Olof Orjansson.

seems correct. First child after her parents marriage in 1685.
