Profiles Mentioned:

Mahala Little was my great grandmother ,she was the daughter of Lackey Newsom and Matilda Baldwin. Lackey and Matilda were married 28 May 1860, Floyd County, Ky. Their children were, Mahala born 25 April 1862, died 31 December 1928, also sons John and Noah. Mahala married Richard Little on 29 November 1880. Richard, son of Francis Marion Little and Hulda Branham was born 23 May 1857 and died sometime after April 10, 1930, as he was listed in the 1930 U.S. Federal Census living with his son Noah Little and wife. Mahala was a member of the Little Creek Old Regular Baptist Church, where I also belong. Richard was not a member. They are buried in the Calhoun Cemetery, which is located on old US 23, Robinson Creek, KY, in unmarked graves. To The best of my famillies knowledge she was never married to anyone other than Richard Little., Her mother Matilda Baldwin was married to Henry Hall after Lackey was killed in the Civil war, and had several children by him.
