Reject the match request. The idea is that helps the match algorithm learn more.

It stops the bad information from infecting the good informaron.

I’m not really following your train of thought. All I can say is reject a bad match unless your prepared to merge & correct. Now, that is something I do with historic profiles, but not with all the John Smiths.

Private User - there is no geni to advise. There are profile managers you can offer correct information to, but you still want to reject bad matches.

For historic profiles Geni has a Master Profile utility as part of our volunteer curation program. The idea is that it’s the single representation of a person, is sourced and looked after; all other versions of a profile to be merged into it. Data fields and relationships can be locked. I think this might be what you’re looking for, but be aware, it’s used for historic people and notables - not for close relatives.
