Dempsey Alexander Braswell - Twins?

I think that Elias Braswell and Dempsey Braswell were twins, both show up on the 1850 census as 13 years of age. Dempsey lived with his father and mother and Elias lived with his older brother William B Braswell and his wife Mary Glass
