There is no Barbara Vaughan Ringgold.
Thomas Ringgold's first wife is said to have been Barbara, but she did not transport to Virginia with Thomas and his two sons in 1642. It is thought she died prior. Thomas married the widow Christian Hill before 1657. It is Thomas' son James who married Mary Vaughan, daughter of Capt. Robert Vaughan. She was Thomas' second wife and they married on 12 Feb 1674 in Kent County, MD. James' first wife was purportedly named Mary Spears.
