I'm following up on an old message from manager Craig Conrad. I did a (valid) merge on Maria Eva, which had conflicting parents. I cut off the "new" parent, prompting Craig to inquire about her parents, since his information indicates otherwise. I suggested we start a discussion, but apparently that hasn't happened until now.

Craig's information indicates her father is Martin Kocherberger

Here is the information from Craig:

I got the Martin information from a series of published articles written by Rev. Garford Williams, a prolific historian in Susquehanna County, PA. We became friends and, years before his death, he turned over his articles and *some* notes for me to "own". Not that I was deserving of it, nor that I've kept it up well, but I did transcribe the articles into a PDF. I would be very happy to send you the PDF, but I don't know how to do that on this site. If you email me (CraigJConrad@gmail.com), I would reply with a copy of the articles. The following is from page 3 of those articles:

"William Conrad and Eve Kochersberger were married in Philadelphia, on February 13, 1788 (page 2176 of the transcribed records). The original gives his name as Wilhelm Coonrod and hers as Eve Kochenberger. She was a daughter of Martin Kochersberger, who in 1790 was living in Northern Liberties Township, County of Philadelphia; the census gives nine in his family, probably himself, wife, four sons and three daughters. He is the only person in the entire Commonwealth in 1790 with that surname"

Does anyone have documentation for the parents she's currently with? Any information for Martin as her father?

Private User et al: I am still willing to share the transcribed PDF written in 1977 by Rev. Garford F. Williams entitled "William Conrad and his Descendants" in which he identifies Wiliiam's wife's father as Martin Kocherberger. Rev. Williams was a well-known historian of Susquehanna County, PA, though I can't attest to the veracity of his finding of Eve Kocherberger's father. Of course, if it really is the parentage apparently accepted herein, then I would welcome it with all the information it implies.

As noted above, I have no idea how to add a PDF to this system or communication, but will happily reply to any email at CraigJConrad@gmail.com.

Thank you.

Erica Howton are you able to assist?

In what way? I accept the citation offered if you do, Private User

Here’s how to add a document

But the description & provenance are sufficient for me.

Erica Howton yes, for adding the document. Thank you for the link.

Nice work so far, this tree is taking good shape. Thank you both.
