Hello, Anney.

I received an email from Geni that told me you were following me. I checked and it says we are 13th cousins, twice removed. I don't know how we're connected, but I am always happy to meet cousins I haven't met.

I've used Family Tree Maker software for about 25 years now and have a private tree on Ancestry. I don't make it public because I haven't verified all the information in it. If someone uses it for the basis of their own tree, any error goes into "the wild," as I refer to it.

Anyway, my major family lines are: WARREN, POOL, LAMBERTSON, MOORE, LEWIS, TACKETT, HILLIS, CRANE, COOPER, DOUGLASS, HILDEBRAND, SHADE, BRYAN, DAVIS, and GLOVER. If any of those names are familiar to you, we can explore that connection. If you have an online tree with Ancestry, I'll check it out.

Please - have a wonderful New Year, even better than 2022 but hoping 2024 is better yet!

These names are not familiar. Both sides of my family are from a small geographic area of Bertie County, NC and Granville County, NC respectively. My father's lines are Cale, Bunch, Harrell, Archer, Castelaw, Mizelle, White, Conner, Bass to name a few. My mother's line consists of Bragg, Stem (Stamm), Bullock, Mitchell, Robertson, Primrose. The father's side is from a very endogamous community and includes the Tri-racial Winton Triangle.

Dr. William F. Cale this Public Discussion is not directed at you personally.

It appears to have been intended for Anney Cress-Dailey, which is why I tagged her, and because you Follow her profile you received a notification because she was tagged.

Hi Dale

Just for interest sake, I am also following you, as you are my 20th cousin twice removed. Nice to meet you :-)

Regards
Anne-Marie

I just wonder how we are related.

Paulette Switzer-Tatum (Michaelson) is Alex Moes' 28th cousin four times removed.

Dale Warren is Paulette Switzer-Tatum (Michaelson)'s 14th cousin once removed.

Susan Schumacher Lostetter (Schumacher) is Paulette Switzer-Tatum (Michaelson)'s 6th cousin four times removed's wife's nephew's wife.

Dr. William F. Cale is Paulette Switzer-Tatum (Michaelson)'s first cousin four times removed's husband's great aunt's husband's sister's husband's nephew's wife's third great nephew.

Anne-Marie Taylor is Paulette Switzer-Tatum (Michaelson)'s 20th cousin once removed.

Many thanks Alex!

Do you know how I am related to Annie Cress-Dailey? Thanks.

Well I don't know, but I know how to find out.
If you follow the link at the end of my post it's to the help file that explains how to use the relationship tool.

At the end of which post? I'm not actually a member of GENI. I'm a member of My Heritage that uses GENI. Annie Cress-Dailey comes up on my tree, but I'm unfamiliar with her. I'm not sure where the he!p file is that will show me the relationship too!.

This is your 17th cousin Anney Cress-Dailey. I'm on both sites but I have to renew my membership on my Heritage. I'll send you how I'm related to you indirectly and directly later on today.

Paulette Switzer-Tatum you joined Geni 8 August 2014. You have a Basic account, which means you don't have to pay fees.

At the bottom of every Geni screen you'll see the word "Help" and clicking on it brings up a huge database of help files for how to use Geni:

Many thanks. I figured it out. She's a distant cousin.
