Parents unknown. According to DNA test results, he was not the son of John Wright of Stafford County & Dorothy.

He’s been detached from those parents.

Thank you as you are the expert and I trust you

I’m trusting the studies. :)

married about 1728 and had William at about the same year.

The William listed there died in 1809. and another on the list James G Wright was the son of William but how does that disprove the parents of john??
the William who died in 1809 was johns son.
N. Grant said in the Washingtons that John was the son of John.

Lord Raymond Nichols, DD, Baron of Sealand - current DNA test results, if the study is well done, often ends up correcting well established and published pedigrees.

"The Washingtons: A Family History" by Justin Glenn; v9 Presidential Branch: Six Wright Lines (and his other volumes) are considered very good. But you'd want to check publication dates and also the DNA studies for transparency of results.
