Ancestry going back to Roman Emperors?

Hi there,

I just saw on my home page feed that my ancestor Alfonso VI, King of Castile, has been added to this project. I wasn't aware of any credible, sourced descents from Roman Emperors down to medieval monarchs. What is this all based on?

I don't know of any Iberian descendants linked to Roman Emperors.
It will be of general interest to find if any credible link exists!
