There are now "two" personas for the wife of Ira Walker Eaton. In the Rodman NY 1850 census is shows a 17 year-old Martha living with parents Alfred and Mary Perkins. Starting at the bottom of the same census page and continuing to the next page it shows Datus and Sophia Eaton's family, and at the bottom of their family section in the census is ANOTHER Martha Perkins, 17 years of age. The Martha living with Alfred and and Mary Perkins shows birth in "Canada" while the other children are shown as born in VT (with the youngest born logically in NY); the "Vermont" location is in error (evidence shows born Bridgewater MA). The Martha living with Datus and Sophia Eaton's family's birth place is shown as NY; shown also in the Eaton family is Martha's future husband Ira Walker Eaton being 14 years of age. A search of Martha Perkins' born abt 1834 in NY shows several other Marthas born NY via FamilySearch.org. Is this the same Martha Perkins? I believe Canada is wrong, and that both of these Marthas are the same persona. Taken as fact that these are two different Martha Perkins, then, it logically continues later that the Martha Perkins born NY marries Ira Walker Eaton in this household, then the parents of the Martha that marries Ira Walker Eaton may not have the Parents of Alfred Perkins and Marry Miller. The mystery continues...
