Juda Meador

I am trying to find Juda Meador's parents. She was born in the 1790s and died in McMinn County Tennessee in 1840. She was Benjamin F. Roberts' first wife. They lived in McMinn County Tennessee and had 7 children: Polly, Jane, Elizabeth, Syphey(Sithe), William, Thomas, and Sarah.

I had DNA analyzed on several sites and am definitely related to the Meadors. When tracing back, it's almost too many and I am trying to narrow it down.

I have researched the Meador family and have books on them as well but cannot seem to find her. There's not even a grave in McMinn County for her that I have been able to find. It's like when Benjamin remarried that she ceased to exist in anyone's memory.

Any time and assistance would be appreciated.

How do you know she was born 1796?

I added some more data to the profiles you had created, the more time, effort and detail you put into the profiles the better chance you will have of finding help. I also did a merge on a profile of Juda/Judith that had been on Geni for many years already.

Thank you for your reply and information. I have been researching Juda for over 10 years. There is no tombstone in any of the cemeteries in McMinn County, TN. There is no birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate, newspaper mention, bible notation, court records, or any official documentation that I can find. The paper trail ends with the children. I arbitrarily listed her birth date as 1796, since in all the family trees she is in it is listed 1792 - 1796. Her birthplace is listed as Virginia in some places and Tennessee in others. The family trees as I am sure that you know may not always be correct. I know the fact that she was mother to those children due to their information that is documented. I know that she was married to Benjamin Franklin Roberts due to the children's information and the fact that I am DNA related to them. What I am looking for is information from the Meador side to try to find her father and then her mother. The Meadors emigrated from Essex County Virginia to Cumberland and Lunenburg County Tennessee, as well as Anson County, North Carolina, and Fairfield County, South Carolina. Benjamin and his family prior to his marriage to Juda was in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Therefore, he most probably met her somewhere during his moving and ending up in McMinn County Tennessee. When I mentioned her being lost, it is in reference to her history of her family roots.
