My grandparents, John Gustaf and Selma Wilhelmina LIndros, came to New York City from Lailila and Lammi Finland around the turn of the century. They lived for many years in Waterford, Connecticut. There is a street named Lindros Lane where my grandfather built several houses. ( And a sauna ! )
It seems they knew many Finns in the area and participated in sports with them. I may be able to send photos. My sister, brother and I spent a month every summer in Waterford ( just outside of New London) .
