Hi im related to Catherine Mcdonald or macdonald 1814 1882 from balgowan scotland

Dale, Pleased to "meet" you! Hope you're well? We may be related, but since I have Absolutey NO idea where in Scotland my MacDonalds came from? Catherine MacDonald is i''m sure another pretty common name, the years are in the correct range, I assume, though maybe a bit late, I imagine middle 1700s. Thanks, though. Be well, Jack

Dale, Again thanks for the reply. In the grand scheme of things I'm sure that all MacDonalds are related, but the odds of your Catherine & Jean from Australia are probably not great! But I appreciate the attempt! Be well, Jack

do u know any campbell family

Okay an update on my Mac/McDonalds, I've w/lots Of help from people on here gone back 2 more generations. I don't know where the town you mentioned is, but the place my McDonalds lived was in Kincardineshire, Cove, Nigg, Kincardineshire, Scotland. The name was McDonald as opposed to my Alexander's MacDonald, Two generations of William McDonalds as the head of household, quarrymen mining stone in the 1700s, w/wives respectively named Mary McKenzie McDonald & Mary Duncan McDonald.
As to whether I know any Campbells? I had to think about that for a bit, I went to High School in Danvers, Mass., where I grew up, w/a Gardner Campbell. That off the top of my head is the only Campbell, that I ever knew! Be well, Jack MacDonald-Hilton.
