I would like to hear from any direct decendants of Dmytro. I only just discovered I am his great granddaughter. One of his daughters was Alexandria Klym who moved to Montreal Quebec Canada and finally to Windsor Ontario and married Henri Mostaway and had 3 children, Myron Morris Mostaway (my father), Walter (Mostaway) Hardy and Olga Klym. I do hope there is some relatives out there to contact me

Sincerely

Sandra (Mostaway) Reynolds

Hi Sandra,

There are no living descendants connected to Dmytro on Geni, it's possible that some like you may be on Geni but not connected.

I assume from looking at your MyHeritage tree that your grandmother was not Alexandria but Private

The best way to proceed would be to add a profile for your grandmother on Geni, connected to the profile you've already made for your father, and then we can set up a merge between that profile and the existing one for Anastasia. After the merge is complete you will be connected not just to Dmytro but also to Geni's 170+ million profile World Family Tree.

Correction to Alexandria Klym, her first name was actually Anastasia. My error, She IS the daughter if /dmytro Klym from his second marriage.

Yes, no one is disputing the connection between Private and her father Dmytro Klym

If you want help connecting yourself to the existing tree just create your won copy of Anastasia and I will merge it with the existing one for you.

I have a tree starte on My Heritage under the name of Sandra Reynolds. My undersantding is my grandmother arrived in the US first and then emmigrited to Montreal Quebec Canad and married my grandfather@Henri Mostaway

Sandra,

I've set up a Merge Request today between the profile of your grandmother (Alexandra) and the existing profile of Anastasia Klym, it requires approval from the other manager to proceed.

I also found a copy of what i believe to be a record of Henri entering the US from Montreal in Nov 1921. Just prior to that he is in the 1921 census with his wife and 2 kids, "Myron" & "Olga" if I am reading it correctly. Was he a chef?

Hi Alex, I do believe at one point my grandfather Henri Mostaway was a chef amongst many other things. From what I understand, he was somewhat of a drifter. He was about 20 years older than my Grandmother and they devorcec and she remarried a man last name Hardy and my Uncle Walter, who is the brother to my father Myron Morris Mostaway. Uncle Walter would not believe that Henri was his bio father and therefore changed his last name to Hardy. Grandma and Grandpa also owned a store on Droulard Rd in Windsor Ontario Canada

Boy am I ever a huge numb skull. My grandmothers name is actually Alexandra, where I got Anastasia from is anyones guess. So there is the direct link to Dmyto Klym which is exiting to know. I am one of 8 other siblings from my Father Morries Mostaway (one of Alexandria's sons.) From what I undersand, husband Henri was a drunk and he eventually left them and went back to Montreal.

Hi Sandra, we have no idea who your grandmother is, you're the one telling this story.

Henri Mostoway was living in Ontario in 1921 with his wife Anastasia and 2 kids, "Myron" & "Olga". Henri's occupation is listed as a "chef", he gave his age as 46 and his wife's as 28.

Anastasia Mostoway seems to be born Ukraine, so quite possibly the same person as Anastasia Klym but this is far from a "direct link to Dmyto Klym".

The Henri in the 1921 Canadian census sounds like the man you describe as your grandfather but his wife's name is definitely Anastasia not Alexandra.

Hi again Alex. I have since set up a Geni account under Sandra Reynolds fsreynolds@bell.net. Like I said my grandmother's name was Alexandria and I believe that's why my father had me named Sandra as he didn't want Alexandria and one of my brothers was named after his brother Walter. They actually had 3 children Myron Morris, Olga and Walter. Uncle Walter got it into his head that grandma's second husband was his bio dad (which he wasn't) so went and legally changed his last name to Hardy, but in fact is a Mostaway as you can clearly see in his pictures.

Thanks Sandy
