George Washington Hardin - G.W. Hardin in Springfield, Mo.

Hello, I am Randy Peterson, 6th Gen. Great grandson of Col. Joseph Hardin,Sr. through his daughter Jane Ann Hardin Goodin. I was exploring his other children and came across G.W.'s name and life history. I noticed he lived near Springfield, Missouri, the area I grew up in. He had a cousin, Joseph Hardin Goodin, who settled in Greene County (the home county of Springfield) Missouri in 1842.. I wonder if he stayed with his cousin Joseph during his time there. Joseph is my 4th Gen. Great Uncle. The Goodin family left the Knox Co. area in the 1790's. They settled in the Pike Co., I'll. area and were a pioneer family in that county. They then moved again west to the Pike Co. Missouri for a time. Then moved west again to the Sedalia/Columbia, Missouri area. Alexander Virtchworth Goodin, father of Joseph and husband of Jane Ann, finally moved to Henry Co. Missouri (near Kansas City) and died there.. .
