@ Mavell Robertson (East)

Private User It’s pretty difficult to say for sure. I’ve moved her to under Private User but I’m not sure that’s record supported.

A good research report suggests Elizabeth Cocke was the first wife of Thomas East, Sr.

It does not seem likely that 2nd / 3rd wife Dorothy East was the mother of the East children.

To be clearer.

It looks like Dorothy East was the mother of the East children, but support for her profile is weak.

There’s an unsourced FamilyTreeMaker report:

Notes for Marvel Alsope East:

daughter of Thomas East Sr of Henrico Co VA, was born about 1663. She was named as a daughter in her father’s 1726 will: “Item I give unto Mary Alsop my daughter one-shilling.” There is a deed in August 1690 which shows that Mavel had married John Robinson; John Robinson sold land in 1696 and in 1704 Marvel Robinson relinquished her dower right.

John Robinson died in 1721; his will was proven in July 1721. And in 1726 when Mavel’s father wrote his will, Mavel was then a Mrs Alsop. Mary had married William Alsop between 1721 and 1726.
