Note that as of 1/18/2023, the parents of [[Tobias Saunders, of Westerly Tobias Saunders, of Westerly] Tobias Saunders] HAVE NOT been proven, and many people think that the Tobias Saunders who was baptized 6 Feb 1630 as the son of Tobias Saunders, of Amersham and his wife [[Isabel Saunders Isabel Saunders] Isabel Wilde], would have been TOO YOUNG to be the immigrant Tobias Saunders.

ALSO - His death date was sometime between 4 July 1695 and 23 Aug 1695 - NOT in September, due to the fact that he was a moderaater at the 4 July 1695 town meeting and they referred to him as "deceased" at the 23 Aug 1695 town meeting minutes.

Erica,
I am absolutely thrilled to hear you have the passion to pursue this! My wife, born Saunders, and traceable to the group from Westerly, had no knowledge 10 years ago, to her heritage. Imagine her surprise to know, when her DNA came back - American!

Sadly, she is the last of a long line of Saunders. Having one sister, and her father had only sisters, as well.

Erica Howton,
Would you please look at the children of Tobias Saunders of Westerly's children. The last 2 daughters don't belong to him as they were born before he & his wife were married. Tammy, the curator for his profile has been dealing with numerous health issues as well as babysitting with a new grand-baby and is unable to do the research on who they may belong to.

They both died young & there are 2 daughters with the same name so there must be some connection. Their mother, Mary Clarke Peckham Saunders would have been only 10 y/o when they were born in the 50's and there is at least 10 yrs between their births and the births of the other known children.

Also I was attempting to check Tobias's "Relationship" tab but there isn't one.

Thank you for any help you have time to provide for figuring this out. He & his wife, Mary, are my 8th great grand parents.
