Family stories indicate Martha Jane Warren got pregnant with Robert Jessie at (17) & the father was possibly by a cousin with last name “Standlee” The two were madly in love. Yet, Martha’s parents (Charles Poke & Martha Elizabeth Wise-Warren forbid the relationship & married her off to Robert Leach, who was 34 yrs. older than Martha. Robert Jessie Warren (b: Sept. 1900) was only (3) months old when she married John Robertson Leach in Dec. 1900. Martha (43) years later filed a delayed birth certificate on Robert Jessie Warren indicating his father was Grant G. Warren born approx 1877-1878 in Berryville, AK. However, I don't believe this information to be accurate as I'm not able to locate any type of documentation filed of record on Grant G. Warren. Any help or guidance would greatly be appreciated.
