as stated in the "About field" in the profile, page 490.
These books, which list all the farms in the area, also include the people who lived there.
I am not sure that you can access these books from abroad. The books are probably not available in any language other than Norwegian.
Mr. Strandskog,
Thank you for responding to my discussion post. I very much appreciate the assistance of those with greater access to Bygdeboks and a command of languages that are foreign to me.
I believe that I found the reference you cited in "Odda, Ullensvange, og Kinsarvik i gamal og my tid", Bygdesoga IV/2, page 490 (Olav Kolltveit, 1971). However, my reference indicates Espe as the farmstead discussed in on page 490, not Tveit. See the following passage:
Bruk nr. 1, Espe.
Born:
a. Marita, g. m. Elling Jonson I. Jåstad br.1.
Unfortunately, none of the farm books addressing Tveit in Kinsarvik mention Odd Larsson or his wife Marta Kjetilsdotter.
As Marta Kjetilsdotter is supposedly from Tveit, it would be helpful to find out source information for these matter.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Odd was probably born on the farm Måge, and at his death he owns and lives on the farm Aga.
His wife, Marta Kjetilsdotter Tveit, there are no location details in the profile. Know very little about her. There is a farm "Tveit" see book 5.2, I can't find her there.
There are several farms in the area where the farm name ends with -tveit, - perhaps it is possible to find her via her father's name Kjetil.
Not sure she is from this area once. She could be from the other side of the fjord, in which case completely different village books apply. Guess it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I know there has been a lot of traffic across the fjord over the years.
I wish you the best of luck in your further searches.
Mr. Strandskog,
Late last night, I found a source for Odd Larsson Aga (Måge) - Wife and children in Tveit. AEttarbok for Odda, page 181 (by Aam. K. Bu, printed in 1939) has the Tveit reference I was looking for.
From the source, it appears that:
- Odd and Marta are associated with this farm from 1614 to 1663
- this Tveit, Odda, farmstead was previously farmed by Odd's father-in-law, Kjetil Sjurson
- Odd's wife, Marta Kjetilsdatter, was born here.
- Odd and Marta had 3 children here: Marta, Lars (b. 1624), and Gunnar (b. 1629)
- Lars Oddson (son of Odd and Marta) is named to the farmstead in 1643.
Thank you for your discussion posts.
