This poor lad sadly died of tuberculosis as a child. The information I have is from the family chronicle of Dr Antonie Ehrlich (Victor's first cousin), who gives birth and death dates of 1870 - 1878, so age 8.
His brother Rudolph named his only son after his lost brother. It is Rudolph's son who became Dr. Victor Eduard Goldschmidt
