Please see that Geni is a single world family tree, and we share ancestry,
You don’t need to enter ancestors who already exist on Geni. If you have a relationship, you’re already connected. Not anything else to do.
If you wish to add citations and source documents, that is of course most welcome. And any member who is part of the world Family tree, as you are, can edit public profiles.
That way, we continually “improve” the tree instead of spinning wheels and possibly introducing errors, from minor annoyances (geography differences) to generational mixups, all of which would need resolution.
If there are genealogy or data entry errors, besides directly editing, one can use “contact manager” from the profile to discuss, and / or the discussion tab of the profile.
If you wish to co manage an existing profile, request management from the profile:
Actions > manager options > request [explain why]
Thank you for your understanding.
