Richard Odom died August 12, 1727, and his will was proved January 12, 1727 in Chowan County, North Carolina. In his will he named his sons Richard, John, Jacob, Aaron and Abraham, and gave each of them plantation. His daughters name was listed as Ann, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Jane and he also mention a granddaughter Ann Vann; Edward Vann evidently married one of his daughters 1-360. Richard and John Odom, Executors.

I’m logged off for the day but will 100% come back to her tomorrow.

Note: apparently there had been another Jacob Odom:

Clearly, there are two Jacob Odom's being confused here. This one, who was married to Susannah, owned property in Bertie County, NC and died around 1736.
Another Jacob Odom lived at the same time. The second, a probable son to Richard Odom of Chowan, NC. Chowan Jacob lived at least until 1755 and never owned property, as far as we know, in Bertie County.

We could have combined Jacob Odom’s and therefore his wives?

What is the evidence supporting Susanna Odom as daughter of Henry King, II & Mary King and mother of Jacob Odom, of Nottoway River

What is the evidence supporting Susannah Odom as daughter of Nathan Vick, Jr & Mary Barefoot, Died young, unmarried & wife of this Jacob?

Mary Barefoot died a teenager in Massachusetts so that’s not right. Detached.

What evidence supports Jacob Odom, of Nottoway River as a son of Jacob Odom, Sr.

With the news that there was another Jacob, and with a mother I don’t see in any online tree, I’m wondering if that got mixed up.

I'll see if I can add more of my matches at the bottom of the tree
When I do a search of my cousins in AncestryDNA who have Odom in their tree, I get my dad's mom's matches for WEBBER.
When I look at these trees, I see Hughes and Odom and King and Whitehead-- the profiles I check for some of these in the treetops goes around my dad's Cabe and Honeycutt and etc so makes me comfortable thinking they are going to be dad's mom's mom's mom side :) which makes sense because female lines are more difficult to trace especially when it isn't a mito line we are tracking, I suppose.
Also, I am seeing lately more matches that are circling dad's dad's dad's folks around Roberts and Burke and Pool... these are also female lines that give me grief.

I think they are getting her possible maiden names from DNA research but I have not dived into that yet and seeing Odom MORE makes me think there may be something to it.
