Somehow, someone associated the Henderson middle name and the parents with this James who was born around 1742 in Virginia and died in 1818 in Ohio. He was married to Mary Legg. James Henderson Williams was probably my most famous Revolutionary War ancestors. He died of wounds received at the battle of Kings Mountain, which proved to be one of the most pivotal battles of the war. His two oldest sons were hung by Tory militia. The war in the south was brutal and really a forerunner of the Civil War.
Once you get to Daniel and Ursula the line gets lost in the murkiness that is early Virginia records. However, that they are the parents of Col. James Henderson Williams, whose promotion to Brigadier was passed by the South Carolina legislature in 2006,
