My husband's great grandfather was a Mr. William Jackson Kennedy. He married Mary Ellen Owens in 1887. He was 48 and she was 22. He was previously married to a woman who passed on 8/14/1869. His parents are said to be "James and Ruth". The record only says "William Jackson". Each child from this union carries the last name of Kennedy. Each child's death certificate has a name discrepancy; one states "William Kennedy", the other states "Jackson Kennedy". The only official source I have regarding their union comes from Pennsylvania, U.S. Marriages 1852-1968.
He is my "problem child". I cannot verify any additional information about him. Was he the William from the war, did he have family, was he born in West Virginia? No way to verify any additional information. Help would be exceptionally appreciated.
