Can anyone explain the "Mowit"? Names set in quotation marks are generally nicknames, but it is very unlikely that such is the case here. And middle names were not generally given to daughters at the time; the only common exception being "confirmation" names given to Catholic girls. So if "Mowit" can't be justified here, it should be removed.

It’s the way the (uncited) source reads, I am reluctant to change as yet.

”Thomas Kent b 1612 Essex, England d 01 May 1658 Gloucester, Essex, MA m Ann "Mowit" NOYES”

It looks to have been an alternate given name.

The first name of this woman is unknown. Many online genealogy pages say that her first name was Anne and some say that her first name was Mowit. However, no reliable evidence supporting either assertion has been found. She may have been either the Mary Kent, widow, who was buried in Over Wallop on February 25, 1678[1] or the Jane Kent, widow, who was buried in Over Wallop on April 29, 1697.[2]

The children of Rev William Noyes and his wife Anne Parker are known as follows:

  • Mowit Noyes, born 1613 in Cholderton, died 6 October 1671. She married Thomas Kent 23 September 1631 in Over Wallop, Hampshire, England.

There’s a long list of citations but would have to locate which. And, the Thomas Kent of Cholderton that this Mowit Noyes married looks to have been different from the immigrant Thomas Kent of Gloucester.

There’s a bit to unwind here.

Hatte Rubenstein Blejer - you curate the profile for Thomas Kent, of Gloucester and Private User you have Rev. William Noyes

Both families need work.

Erica Howton - Gotcha.

With houseguests and Passover, I'm unlikely to do much on this family for a couple of weeks.

OK, got it figured out.

The Rev. William Noyes had a daughter, unknown Kent sometimes seen as Mowit Noyes, who married Thomas Kent, lll, of Over Wallop

That Thomas has been confused with Thomas Kent, of Gloucester who wife is, in fact, unknown.

wife of Thomas Kent They were the parents of Thomas Kent, Jr. & Samuel Kent and had nothing to do with the Noyes who came to America.

@Erica Howton
I have a couple of medical problems that do not allow me to sit for very long and I only have a desktop computer. But I will look into this as soon as I can.
