saving/printing a tree

Can anyone explain why when saving a family tree to print, a large silhouette shows up in the middle of the page obscuring the information? How do I avoid that?

How do you print the tree?
are you using the icon in the bottom right?

Yes, I am using the print icon with the layout of both sides of the tree - the righthand diagram, where lineage goes vertical. Most of the time, it prints perfectly but occasionally I get a large profile in the middle. Any explanation for the large profile smack in the middle covering data?
