Concerning the ancestry of Sir John C. Stewart. He is presently identified as that son of Thomas Stewart and Barbara Barns, whose baptism was registered at Glasgow on 16 April 1612. This seems extremely unlikely, however, because the child who was born in 1612 was the second of three children with the same name who were born to this couple. One, as already noticed, whose baptism was registered on 16 April 1612, a second whose baptism was registered on 8 May 1617, and a third whose baptism was registered on 2 January 1627. It is not impossible that all three children survived into adulthood, but evidence which might support such a claim is wanting. Much more likely, or so it seems to me, the first two children probably predeceased their youngest sibling. The eldest dying before 8 May 1617, and the second dying before 2 January 1627. In view of this I would suggest that Jonet Wilson’s husband should be disconnected from the family of Thomas Stewart.

Hello Neil, I was thinking yesterday of messaging Erica (before Lazarus Stewart was disconnected from Robert) that in that case we would have to disconnect John Stewart II John Stewart, of Drumore from John "C" Stewart as a father because the ydna ancestry of Samuel Stewart b1698 being R-BY118188 makes the Samuel, Hugh up to Robert and John "C" lineage not related to the Royal Stewart lineage which is from R-DF41 to S310 to Z38845 and also from the High Stewards from S781. So John II has been disconnected from John "C" because the latter is definitely from Royal Stewart ancestry and no doubt the Duke of Albany Murdoch. Now with where we are at the moment the so-called brothers now disconnected from Lazarus have no real ancient ancestry. But now we will work on Lazarus alone. Before I joined Geni in 2018 previous researchers of the Robert Stewart line born 1665 commented that they were tired of all the John Stewarts of the 1600s in Glasgow being connected together, preferring that we find the genuine descendants for each one of them. So now we have finally had a reset. I have seen other families from Glasgow Scotland with much confusion regarding multiple same name children and then labeling them Primus and Secundus etc. So I am used to that.
And BTW, I am thrilled that the Scots have come out with access to comprehensive indexes on the internet for the 1500s and 1600s baptisms, marriages, and burials and wills. I have been using them for research on other family lines. Another thing annoying to me is the proliferation of Ninian's in Glasgow. I notice in looking at the lineages down from the Bute Stewarts that they had many Ninians and that those lines go nowhere that will help the Lazarus lines. So far in doing a comprehensive look at the Bute lines, I see no relation between them and the Covenanter families especially those who went to Pennsylvania. The Bute lines seem to be all Loyalist as in loyal to Kings James and King Charles and the latter's sons. Paintings of them make them all look like Jacobites. The family of Lazarus did not have paintings of what they looked like because they were dedicated to the Covenanter cause and missionary work. But their ydna pathway shows that they were plainly descended from either Robert Stewart II King of Scots or Sir John Stewart of Bonkyl son of the 4th High Steward of Scotland. But so far, I have found substantial evidence that Lazarus has links from Most Recent Common Ancestors from royal Stewarts (Prior to 1360 and several around 1200-50) but none from current ydna testers from the Sheriff of Bute lines. We still have to major in looking at the descendant lines of Murdoch the Second Duke of Albany with his son Sir James "Mor" of Baldorran and Murdoch's son Walter Stewart of Lennox. For now I think that is all,

I do not believe however that
